ENCOURAGING THOUGHTS
In Colossians 4 Paul writes to those in the church that they should "devote themselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart." He asks for prayer for himself, that God would open doors for him to be able to preach the gospel. Paul believed in the power of prayer. He knew that spiritual warfare exists against those seeking to further the kingdom of God, and that prayer is the weapon that we can fight and win these wars with! When we keep our hearts alert and in tune with God, He will show us the battles that He has for us to fight and win in prayer!
"Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart. Pray for us, too, that God will give us many opportunities to speak about His mysterious plan concerning Christ. Pray that I will proclaim the message as clearly as I should." Colossians 4:2-4 NLT
ANNOUNCEMENTS
- We are in the midst of our "Week of Prayer" here at One Life Church! Each evening from 7:00-8:00 pm we are opening up the church for a time of prayer and soaking in God's presence. Pray for the various topics that will be presented, or for whatever the Lord is leading you in during these peaceful, quiet times with Him.
- Seniors Breakfast is happening this Thursday, January 18th, at 9:30 am at the Nord-Bridge Seniors Centre!
- On Saturday evening starting at 6:00 pm at OLC, Lethbridge House of Prayer along with Rabbi Cal Goldberg will be leading us in prayer for Israel and the surrounding nations!
- Rabbi Cal Goldberg will also be our guest speaker for our service this Sunday! We'd love to see you out!
- We're hosting a Pot Bless after our service on Sunday! We invite to you join us, and ask that you please bring some food to share!
