ENCOURAGING THOUGHTS
Christmas is almost here! Whatever this season looks like for you, think back to the very first Christmas. Before it was a holiday filled with an extravagance of toys, decorations, and Santa Claus, what we now call Christmas was a simple yet life-changing night where the presence of God came to touch the Earth. There was nothing grand or showy about a young couple giving birth in the midst of a stable, yet as they sought to follow God in the midst of what must have felt crazy and unknown, His glory and presence came down upon them - an experience even our finest Christmas-planning efforts cannot rival.
Whatever you're doing to celebrate Christmas this year, remember that God is the only one who can bring true joy, peace, and love to your home & life as you glorify Him and honor the gift that He gave us, His Son Jesus. Experiencing His presence is the only thing that will truly last.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
- Thank you to everyone who came out on Sunday evening to support and enjoy "The Color" Christmas concert! We hope you had an awesome time!
- Remember to come out to City Hall in Lethbridge at 5:00 pm this Thursday, December 21 to show your support for "Streets Alive" as the City seeks to shut down many of their programs that assist the homeless in our community.
- We're excited for our Christmas Candlelight Service that is happening this SATURDAY, December 23 at 6:30 pm! We hope you'll join us for this 1 hour service as we celebrate Christmas together! (Note: there will be NO service on Sunday, Dec 24th.)
- On December 31st we are having our annual "One King One Kingdom" service, joining together with various other churches in Lethbridge! The service will be held at Westside Community Church at 10:30 am. It's always a joy to worship the Lord together as we bring in the New Year, and we hope to see you there!

- The church office will be closed from December 24th - January 1st. We hope you each have a very merry Christmas and blessed New Year!
- On January 2nd, we will be starting our annual "21 Days of Prayer & Fasting!" Join us in whatever way you can as we take this time to seek the Lord for 2024! We will be hosting prayer nights here at OLC during this time. More details to come!
